UPS suspicions confirmed

Woah so fired.

They're suppose to knock, if they don't get someone they have to bring it back. A package can't be delivered without a signature from the recipient.

At least that's how it works here.

They knock here but if I don't answer within 10 seconds they just leave it and take off. I live in an apartment too.

I've had a UPS guy toss it on my porch right when I opened the door. I just stared for a second and he had a look like "Ah, fuck" on his face before he took off.

Depends on who it is delivered to. They dont require a sig for me anymore.

to my knowledge unless a signature is required they do not need to physically deliver the package to anyone nor even knock.

as far as the video, I have mixed feelings. Depending on the package, I don't necessarily have an issue with how he tossed that box. For all we know the box was from featherpillows.com. Unless we know who the sender was, the declared contents, and the weight and physical characteristics of the packaging, we cannot judge.

what a piece of shit.

It doesn't matter if it had a pillow or if it was just a box filled with packing peanuts they shouldn't be throwing shit around, seems like that little gate was to much for him.

No worse than DHL, imho. Last time I did an RMA for a V7 lcd monitor, I packed it up like they told me to, and shipped it DHL (they paid for shipping both ways, I would've gone Fedex). A couple weeks later, they opened the box and pulled out this.

What was really amazing is that their RMA people actually thought I was returning it for repair because that had happened to it! It was only after I explained to them that it didn't look like that when I handed the box to my local DHL office rep, and that it was returned for repair for other reasons, that they initiated an insurance claim for it.

Good riddance, DHL! :|

LOL, if you think that was rough handling, then you should probably do yourself a favor and not visit a UPS hub...
Yup, to a warehouse worker, the problem to deal with is getting the packages out the door quickly, union or no union.
If a box gets crushed, oh well, it's just one among thousands. That's what insurance is for (not for the minor annoyance that is the consumer, but for the company).

it does not matter who the thing is from. you do not throw items. how about some fucking respect for others property?

Recently I have more issues with UPS that not. Like not knocking. Not even attempting delivery. Sometimes they would have already written their little cards and would just deliver those first thing.

One time I stayed home waiting for my package. I heard a knock on the door as I was watching TV in the living room. Before I even opened the door, the guy was already left but somehow he managed to leave a notice on the door. WTF. I heard the knock, got up from the couch, walked 10ft to open the door and the UPS guy left.

If their delivery is that poor they should not even bother to deliver. If anything it could be a premium service you pay extra for, otherwise it should just be a phone call to say the package has arrived. I would prefer that then to have my package thrown in the snow, rain, or in front where everyone can see it.

Anytime my UPS driver comes to the door my 4 year old daughter answers it and thanks him.
During the holidays the UPS driver dropped off a package to the house, my daughter answers and thanks him. UPS driver bends down and thanks my daughter for thanking him. There are some good UPS drivers around the world. I'm thankful I've got one of them.

I don't think you're supposed to keep them...

I believe in catch-release. So once I tag and catalogue him I'll release him back into the wild.
