Well this is different....

My girlfriend recieved a package that I ordered from buy.com today (a digital camera) and when she looked at it the box was all beat up and ripped and repaired with tape on one side....

Worried she opened the box, and when she did the Digital camera box was there and seemingly intact however shoved in the box next to it was someone elses package from QVC which had been ripped open and the contents removed, with only the envelope and the empty jewelery cases left in the box....

Her shipping label and address was left on the package....

So I checked her package and it was last scanned at its point of origin in PA, same place as the Buy.com package came out of...so I figure whoever ripped off her stuff did it at the processing center, did it in a hurry and since it was small they stuffed it in their pocket...ripped open my box and stuffed their old packing materials into my package as to conceal the evidence as I am sure they go through that place with a fine tooth comb.

I called UPS and let them know what I found and they said they might call me tommorow to ask some questions....

Funny how someone will steal $78 worth of Jewelery and leave a $300 digital camera in the box.....

Just thought that was really odd and didn't know if anyone else had a similar story.

I've seen stories in the past about jewelry theft operations by UPS employees. One was pretty large with about 15-20 employees who were regularly stealing shipments to jewelry stores until they got busted. It was either last year or the year before.

It doesn't surprise me.

The Digital Camera is what I ordered, the jewelery was some other womans package that I do not know.....

Ironically though the woman who ordered the jewelery only lives like 10 minutes from where I live...

hopefully they will refund you the 78$ and you will have to reorder again. theres no way to get it back once stolen by a UPS employee. some of them can't be trusted and that for sure. I had order stuff using COD, the guy that came put the money in his pocket instead because UPS keep sending me a bill for 125 bucks that I have already paid. I had to call them and sad sorry im not liable for that, it the fault with their employee stealing our money.
