UPS says my tracking number is invalid

Okay, so im getting my rma from evga via overnight shipping with ups. They gave me a tracking number by email and i tried it on the ups site. no workey.

so i think its probably just a typo and go to evga's track rma thing to get my tracking number. still no workey.

So does UPS not enter the package into their database until they have started shipping or something? They gave the tracking number out already, so i thought at least it would say pending shipping or soemthing...

any thoughts?

 

Does it say "invalid," or does it say there is no record of that item? They are different. If it says "invalid," it's probably a typo b/c UPS tracking numbers follow a specific algorithm.

It can take several or more hours for the information to be posted online..

it usually takes like 12 hours or so before the it shows up online, so I'd just check in the morning.

I belive that means it's just not in the system yet.

Can take many hours before it's posted. Not as real time as you might expect.

ah, okay so you guys just think its not in the system yet? how long should it take? I mean they don't have long for next day air....

has this happend do any of you guys?

sure, just try it later, takes a while before it shows up in the system from when the vendor gives it to you.
