So I'm looking at getting a UPS because I believe I have really poor electrical wiring in my house and its causing surges or unstable power and crashing my computer. Any suggestions? I just want to hook up my computer to it. It's a 3570k, 2 hard drives, 7970 video card. nothing that powerful. price doesn't matter but I'd prefer not to spend $200+

It may or may not depend on your specific PSU (sine wave vs. non-sine wave). I tend to lean towards it doesn't really matter, but........

The CyberPower CP1350AVRLCD can be purchased at CostCo across the country for less than $90. The same UPS on NewEgg, Amazon, etc. is going for about $130. Great UPS for a system like yours.
