UPS lost my package.....while in transit

this is crazy...I don't know how can they lost track of a package in their hands.

anyone has something similar happened?

last wed, I had the shipper intercept and re-route it to a different address

last fri, they said the package is missing a apt # so they couldn't deliver it. i had no problem having 3 other packages deliver there with the same address I gave them. was told that they would make a 2nd deliver that day, never happened. last time i heard about the package

monday, 2 reps lied to me about the package was on the truck and would be delivered that day by 7pm. called them again and finally have the facility supervisor called me back and told me they somehow couldn't find the package.😵😵😵😵😵

today. nothing, no news about it, called to complain. called the merchant to see if they can send me a replacement. I really don't expect UPS to find it for now.
 
What was it? If it was valuable maybe they "lost" it. I've had UPS just drop a laptop package at my door once.... Were you at home when the item was scheduled to be delivered?

Maybe it got sent back to the sender?

Although, when I got my new phone, Verizon didn't put my apartment number on it. It failed the initial delivery, but they came back that day and delivered it during the second try.

and go with who? they are the best value to cost option out there. I am Amazon prime member for years, get TONs on stuff from newegg, probably till date received more than 100 packages through UPS, NEVER had any problmes. Stop trolling

OP, I'm curious ... how else would you have had them "lost' your package? How could they "lost" your package if they didn't have the package in their hands.

The answer to your second question is no, I have never had problems with UPS. They have always been timely in their deliveries.

I usually want to use USPS or Canada Post..
It is not a troll post at all. Many people here have had bad experience with UPS. They are shit.

I once had a UPS package tracking as "Out for delivery." When the nice man failed to deliver the package, I called their CS and was told (and I am not kidding) "the driver could not find the package on the truck." Don't these people load their own trucks? Anyway, had to go to the customer center to get it.

Same here, never had a problem. I love hearing the rumble of the UPS truck because it means I'm getting something. It is amazing how they, FedEx, and even USPS are able to move so many packages every day with the speed and reliability that they do.
 
Sadly if there's no insurance on it (I rarely bother) you are probably out of luck. Could be anything from a UPS truck accident, to it literally being lost and never making it to the next truck. Could be sitting on the ground outside next to the loading bay after it fell between the truck and the wall. Who knows. Some random person within it's path is probably enjoying it's contents right now. 😛

Though I do wonder, even without insurance, if UPS still has a certain level of responsibility. You as the customer pay shipping with the expectation of getting that service.

At least they did not come to your house, so there is no chance of them having peed on your lawn.


Personally I can't recall any issue I've had with UPS, USPS, Fedex, Purolator, etc... The only grippe I have with all couriers is the fact that they try to deliver residential packages before 5. Nobody's home! Mind you that affects me less now that I work shifts. I try to buy stuff a week before I know I'll be off for a stretch in hopes the package comes during one of those days, or at least if it comes the day before I still have the day off to go pick it up.

UPS lost it BEFORE deliver it. they are totally responsible. I don't see it any other way. i would say package got stolen after delivery is a different matter
 
UPS customer service totally blows. when I tried to ask to speak to a manager on multiple times, they always let me wait 10mins or so before dropping my call. if you want to talk to a manager, dont tell anything to the rep.
 
This may have just happened to me. Supposed to get a $1650 laptop. Saw the truck pull up. The guy spent a while in the back. Sat back in the seat and drove off.
 
Packages get lost in transit all the time. When I did security for a high-rise condominium building the UPS guy often accidentally left a package or two intended for another building in our load. It would often take several days to get it back to them (weekend, UPS guy left packages with management the next day instead of seeing me, someone filling in on my day off didn't know and didn't give it back, forgot, etc).

You don't honestly think "in transit" means that the truck was on its way to your house and your house only, right?
 
You have an item shipped to one address, then you change the address and then the next thing out of your mouth "it's crazy, how can they lose a package"

Do you live in an apartment? If so why didn't you include it in the address? We constantly have customers that don't include their apartment number, and then call complaining because UPS or FedEx has delayed their package. And then they want us to reimburse shipping, because of their mistake...🙄

Sure, I've had them lose packages, but they usually turn up a day or two later. But then, I know enough to use the correct address when I order. Then all you have to worry about is whether they damage it or not.

I bought two chrome car bumpers off a guy on the AMC forums. Ups managed to lose both in transit. How do you misplace something as large as car bumpers? Fortunately he insured them so I got my money back.

Yeah, you learn pretty quickly to ignore the note listed around the second line field that it should be used for an apartment number. I will typically put mine in the first line after the street, and if I don't, I've had some address validation tools put it in there for me.
 
Had an Amazon package sent by lasership... tracker said delivered when I never got it. I'm 80% sure it never got to my door (very narrow window for someone to steal and my apartment hallway is locked, which is where they leave them (I've also gotten tons of packages at this address and it's the only one that's gone missing)); I suspect it got lost along the way and someone messed with the system to show it delivered. Amazon ended up refunding me at least.
