UPS for home PC/VOIP Phone

I'm wondering what a good UPS would be for my home setup.
Basically all I would have on it would be my home gaming PC, wireless router and our VOIP modem. I'd like for it to have enough juice to run the VOIP during emergency power outages. Also do these UPS's have surge protection integrated into it?

I haven't come across any UPS' without surge protection. What is the spec of your gaming pc and how long are you expecting it to stay powered for during a power cut?

+1 Usually most UPS's will have 1 or 2 dedicated power slots that will allow a device to run off the battery charge for a limited time, while the rest will have basic surge protection.

However since you mentioned you wanted the VOIP device to remain online (would you still have an Internet connection during a power outage?) I'd advise putting the router and VOIP phone on the battery back-up and possibly get a second UPS, if you want the gaming rig to remain online as well.

I second the comment of a seperate UPS for the computer and one for the router/ VOIP. In a short power outage both the PC and the router/ VOIP would remain powered (thinking anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes depending on your actual power usage by the PC), but in a longer outage the PC by virtue of it's greater power consumption could run out the battery life of one UPS, while the router/ VOIP would remain powered for hours. (assuming of course that your internet connectivity remains unaffected by the power outage, which may be a crapshoot depending upon many variables completely outside of your control....)
