hey im looking to buy a small UPS (Uninterruptible power supply) for a comp of mine. Im not looking for anything fancy, and especially nothing large. i would like it to be as small as possible. i dont need it to run the comp for that long, maybe a min or two? i really dont know how long they usually can run a system(its a mac mini so its not a power hog).

APC and Tripp Lite are both very good companies with good reputations. There are some others, but for home use, they are good choices.

Having backup power during a power outage is good, but also consider getting a unit with line conditioning. They provide clean and stable power into your PC. They protect your system by making sure the power going in is not too low or too high.
