Threads like these deserve to be stickied for the rest of the day, to serve as a reminder to everybody else that there are still stupid people in the world.

First part: You're saying I cant ship a gun? Read the last sentence. "...and between persons not otherwise prohibited from shipping firearms..."

Second part: What if I were sending a rifle?

Third part: I had an account.

So you were shipping a rifle? Did you cut it up into small pieces so it would fit in "an old carton of winchester super speeds."?

This is what I love about your threads... you say so many contradictory things, but then you always come up with an explanation. First you say you shipped a gun, then you say you shipped part of a gun. It's a subtle distinction, kind of like the difference between an insurance claim and insurance fraud.

What upsets me is that seemingly all this time, PAB has had a gun, and yet he still hasn't done us all the huge favour of sucking on the business end of it and pulling the trigger with his toes.

He's got a better case in this thread than usual, though. The wording of that letter even sounds courteous and professional.

Let's face it, if it was anyone but PAB, we would have given him a hard time about using a shell box, but other than that sympathized.

Some FFL's get itchy about receiving firearms from non-FFL's. The ORM-D shouldn't have been such a big deal.

I still think that he didn't tell UPS what he was shipping. If he had, the whole situation would never have happened.

According to the ATF, a the lower reciver or as you like to call it PART of a gun - IS the gun.

Thats because they're idiots.

I had one FFL call me up and say he was calling the ATF on me because I didnt send him a gun with an outbound FFL.

I gave him my phone number and addreess and told him to inform the agents I'd be waiting on my front lawn with a shotgun.

Funny how I never heard back from him.....

I think you're taking that out of context. In a legal sense that may be true, but in normal conversation you would never refer to a receiver as a gun, you would refer to it as a receiver.
