If you call them and they don't help you - then do the next best thing.
Never use their service again.
More lost service for a poorly run company is a good thing for the market. Next time use an alternative if possible. At least yours doesn't chuck the package up the stairs because they are too lazy to walk like mine did. :Q

Woohoo. I called back after the asshat hung up on me and got a girl this time who was nice. She forwarded the problem to my local branch and they just called and told me they were sorry and that the driver recieved a warning. Didn't get him fired but better than nothing.

I had a similar experience with FedEx. The tracking number to my new camcorder showed "Package left at door at 5:34PM" and I got home at 6:30PM. It was going nuts asking the neighbors if they saw that package and wondering why the driver didn't leave it in the big plastic bin with the open padlock we have for deliveries.Originally posted by: Hummin
Yeah.......FedEx, right. What the OP complains about is what I have with FedEx. Last six packages shippped to me by FedEx.....all scanned in as "Person unavailable/business closed" on the day it was scheduled for delivery....once it was scanned that as it was loaded on the truck at 7:30AM. The FedEx CSR supervisor I spoke to on the phone that evening was dumbfounded by that one.....how was a deliver attempt made when it was being loaded onto the truck?Originally posted by: PurdueRy
Obligatory FEDEX FTW!
If your local FedEx drivers are good, then FedEx is great I suppose. On the other hand, if your local FedEx is using contract delivery drivers, as many people are subjected to who live in rural areas, then you are open to the whims of the driver deciding if he or shie will deliver yoru package today, tomorrow, or next week.
On the other hand, in over a decade, this area's UPS had never missed a delivery date for me and is always here by 10:30AM. Guess it's all in the local drivers and how they like to work......or not.

Every time I get something shipped via UPS I have to go pick it up. The driver never even attempts to deliver. When I go to the tracking it gives me this BS. I was home both times but the driver didn't even attempt to deliver. He obviously didn't feel like climbing the stairs. If he had there would have been something on the door but there is not.
Last time this happened
Is there anything I can do to get this guy fired? I'm going to call up UPS tomorrow and see if I can talk to a manager or something. I?m not going to hold my breath though since every time I have called so far they have been EXTREMELY unhelpful. Looks like I?ll just have to stop buying from venders who ship UPS.
