UPS has gotten pretty bad with me, almost as bad as USPS. UPS being better only because they have "realtime" tracking. I'm a Fedex fanboi now.

My UPS driver never knocks or rings the door.

Once I caught him tossing a package across the garage. I was pretty thrilled about that. At least it was just a pack of DVD+Rs.

The FedEx lady always rings the door I think.

I've never seen my driver, he's stealthy, my neighbor said he parks 2 houses down accross the street, and runs over and puts the boxes in my screened porch (as my notes on my door usually say) and disappears. The fedex guy parks right out front knocks and then puts the package in the screened porch. (my parking is in back of the house, it's hard to tell when someones home at my house)

UPS just leaves my stuff there. It worries me since the packages range from $300 to $1000 in value and they're just sitting there.

DHL has always rung my doorbell.

Just depends on the driver..

Personally, I'd rather just they leave it on the doorstep than knock or anything. But we're kinda secluded, so theres not much worry about it getting jacked.

This is strange because the UPS guy didn't ring the bell yesterday when he dropped something off. I think that was the first time he ever did that.

No big deal or anything, I just don't want a 500 dollar video card sitting on the porchstep while I'm home, I wanna be able to pick it up right when it arrives.

Hmm.

What video card?

Seriously, call UPS and tell about it, they won't leave a package unless they have sig on file if you request it.

And even then they still might not leave it. Sigh... Pretty soon I think I'll have an anti-UPS stance to go along with my plan to boycott uhaul.

They always do! the ones that don't are usually the laziest of the bunch :D:D:D

Mine rings and runs. I'm not slow to the door. Sometimes I get htere in 5 seconds and he's already on his van ready to floor it.

As long as they leave the package, that is exactly what we all wish they would do. It's fine that they leave it but they should at least do you the courtesy of ringing the bell so if you are home you can come get it right away and not run the risk of it being stolen because someone walks by and sees it sitting there because you don't know it was delivered...

Just be lucky they didn't kick the crap out of it Ace Ventura style. I'm almost afraid to order anything and it be shipped UPS.

Then again my lazyass mailman won't even make a delivery attempt, nor leave the package at the apartment office. The evil bastard just leaves a note in the box and I have to wait inline at the post office for 30 minutes.

It's nice not having to take that stupid tag down to the distribution center and pick it up at like 6pm.

wouldn't anyone?

let me tell you the serect to this tactic, it's call hit and run! :D

by the time you open the door, their already in the truck taking off.
i have no problems with this thought cause they just don't have the time to meet you in person and maybe even get insulted by rude people who takes them for granted that they should do a better job. I don't blame them for being in such a hurry.

That kind of sucks huh? maybe the driver is too lazy to ring the door or even knock.
you know what's funny? now fedex just leave the package at my door without knocking,
But I can tell since their truck make so much noise and I can hear it miles away. but either way i have no problems as long as the package is delivered on time and is delivered to the correct address. fedex saver still takes 3 from CA to KS, wtf? how it get from CA to GA in 2 days is just messed up...Ups takes about 4 days from CA to KS. from CA to GA, 5 days?

If you have delivered mail or newspaper, you would understand, they are in a hurry!
No point in waisting a few min. chit chatting with strangers?
