UPS did the same thing with a vapochill tower i shipped to someone from FS/FT in these forums a couple years ago.

Package was late and left on his doorstep demolished, all 6 sides of the box were severely damaged and it was very obvious that it had been taped back together by UPS. The $700 tower was completely destroyed (contents were insured for $1000). Long story short, we recieved $150 of the insurance after 14 months of fighting.

Meh, I rarely order heavy stuff online. And the times I do, FedEx and UPS treats it well. Knock on wood.

what a sad story

I received my Dell 2005FPW and a Shutte from UPS today, the Shuttle even arrived early. Boxes in perfect shape. Can't wait to get home after work.

Simple answer:
If you are required to sign, and they leave it, say you never recieved it.
They can't prove you did recieve it, and you can claim it was stolen or something.

UPS repackaged my package. Those fuggin bastages

I just typed a response to you on the above thread, you might want to look at it.

i don't think he cares or he'd have edited it out previously.

a lot of people on this board use their first and last name and give out genuine information about themselves. unless you're an idiot stalker, you have better things to do than harass a guy whose address appears on a shipping label.

btw, you bumped a thread up that hadn't had replies in it since 2/1, and he didn't have any need to remove his name or address on the thread at that time.

(you have no idea how much i want to emphasize this fact.)

and i'd follow up very carefully (check the tracking info regularly) on the status of the package. they are notorious for not doing this stuff in a timely manner, and chances are, you are not going to hear about it anymore -- even if you bug them, which i did, they'll say "it's in the shipper's hands now and you're going to have to deal with them."

by the way, how the hell is orlando 45 miles away from hialeah? where do you really live?

where are you, OP? :p

UPS is usually very careful with my packages.

Though most of them are guns and ammo so maybe that has something to do with it.

UPS loading staff have a policy of using packages as stepladders, especially ones that look expensive.

Firearms and ammunition, when marked as such, are handled by more mature personnel to keep the n00bs from killing themselves

i'm glad you're a self-proclaimed expert on all subjects.

Maybe he does care and didn't notice it. I have seen lots of pics all over the internet that people didn't intend to reveal and yet, there it is. He was very angry and in a fit of rage posted a bunch of pics that I am sure (in his anger) didn't stop to look at each one.

Yes lots of people do give out info about themselves, but not as much as they used to. He gave every detail about where he lived and his phone #. Call it what you want, but the world I live in is full of a$$holes just waiting for the right moment to strike. Maybe you open your eyes and take a look around. I was just trying to be helpful, but if it is up to you to call people out, so be it.

BTW, who cares that I bumped up a thread? The OP is the one who bumped it up by referencing it in another post. Had it not been for him I would not even know it existed. I have been on forums where posts as old as a year have been bumped because someone had something relevent to say about the original post. Again, is this another one of your jobs, to make sure old posts don't get bumped up?

do i look like a mod?

you just shouldn't call attention to something that doesn't need attention. he had 3 months to address the issue if it was a concern to him. obviously, it wasn't.

I don't know what you look like, fortunately this is the internet.

I will call attention to whatever I feel like. If you don't like it, quit reading and posting. As I said no one knows if it was a concern or not. He was so pissed off it is possible he overlooked it and since no one else called him on it, how would he know?

For someone who claims not to be a mod, you sure act like one. Or are you the ATOT old thread police?
