Are UPS scheduled delivery times accurate? Tracking says it departed Atlanta at 5:50 am. Scheduled deliver time is in 2 days. It has been riding around in the back of a truck for almost 5 hours now and it's not very far away. Think I can expect it today?

:D

I want my motherboard and processor now!!

Of all the packages I've gotten from Fedex and UPS over the past few weeks not a single one has had accurate tracking data. In fact, I had two HDD's delivered yesterday that were apparently still sitting in a warehouse somewhere in Atlanta.

I had a fedex package shipped 2 day from Seattle (I'm about 15 miles away)...they said it was out for delivery the next day, but an exception occured..."Package not due for delivery"...basically they held it just for the hell of it because I didn't pay extra for overnight... :|

Yesterday, UPS showed a package for me as "Out for Delivery". I didn't receive it. I looked at the tracking today, and it was out for delivery yesterday, but in Alabama. I live in Michigan.

It's on its way now. Somebody figured out their error.

Better choice would have been to move to AL.

I feel the same way. There's a $1,000+ order from newegg sitting in the UPS facility near me right now, but it won't be delivered until Friday. I kind of wish I spent the extra $100 for overnight shipping, but oh well.

It's not going to happen. Unlike Fedex, USP delivers on the day they said they would, no earlier, even if that means it sits around for 3 days.

I've got to believe the weather is a whole lot better, that's for sure.

i used to think that until this week actually. both zappos and ups showed delivery date of december 30th when the package was already in jersey on the 28th, sunday.

i got the package on monday the 29th.

Not necessarily so. I've had packages arrive a day or two before the scheduled delivery time.

My local UPS hub is not open today. If yours gets New Year's Eve off as well, you aren't going to see that package tonight.

You need to take tracking data as a wild guess and not a fact. I've had a lot of packages show as "out for delivery" when they were 1000 miles away and several that were delivered when tracking showed that had not even left the shipper.

At least it'll be here friday for you to play with over the weekend.

Call up dispatch. They can give you a much better idea than any of us can.

My local facility will hold a package for me before they attempt delivery and let me pick it up. I don't think they are supposed to, but they have done it for me in the past.

My package has been sitting at a hub 150mi from me for two days... it was supposed to be two day delivery, it's been 4 days so far :((

and it's obviously not going to come tomorrow, as thats a stat.. so it's looking like my $55 2day shipping is going to take 6 days minimum. fucking awesome. not to mention it took 4 days from the time i paid until UPS picked the thing up.... which i let slide bcause it was christmas ;)

not true in my case

they always deliver that day or earlier

fedex on the other hand can take 7-12 days on ground shipping

UPS has never taken more than 5 even going from west to east coast

UPS does not deliver or pickup Ground packages on NYE and tomorrow's a holiday, so that's the reason for the two day delay. If this had been any other time of the year, the package would have been delivered today.
