I'm looking at this one cause I can get it for 70 CND locally, which would be great. I have no experience with UPS units. I'm wondering if I can run a cable modem and a P2B w/ Celeron 333 and no monitor off of this successfully. I have been having lots of black outs lately and it's killing me.

You should be alright with that. APC is a good company, I have the 650, and previously a 100 or 120.

It should be fine ... according to APCs UPS selector a Celeron system <1.5GHz with 2 HDs and no monitor only draws about 75W and the 200 Model you've quoted supplies 130W.

Thanks .. that UPS selector seems pretty cool, but it's not working for me, at all. :(

Well... I have 2 computers, a 19" monitor, a kvm switch, a ethernet switch, a firewall, and a cable modem. All running off a APC Smart-UPS 1400. With everything turned on I run at 34% load.

I checked the site and it says that UPS is rated at 130watt output. The cable modem it will power no sweat... it may or may not power the Celeron computer.

My suggestion is if you are on a budget: Goto E-Bay

I've bought my UPS's used off E-Bay and got great deals. I got a Smart-UPS 700 for about $49 US (in great condition). I've seen smaller UPS's on sale for less there as well.

My final suggestion, stick with APC... or as a last resort Tripp-Lite.
