i'll try to make this short and simple. the package was $81.

bought an item off ebay
package was damaged when it arrived
i called up UPS and filed a damage claim
UPS picked up the package for inspection
UPS demands the shipper (ebay seller) to contact UPS for a reimbursment.
shipper (ebay seller) is not responding to UPS nor me.

this issue has lasted almost 3 months. UPS keeps telling me that the shipper has to contact UPS to have this issue resolved.

drive over to the sellers house with a chainsaw and tell him you mean business.
$81 is not worth the price of your dignity.

ROFL man 3 months and you are upset? I bought a hulk statue off ebay that ended up damaged and with 100% help from the seller UPS took 11 months to finally reimburse me.

This is how it works. Thats why ebayers charging extra for insurance and making it optional is BS. Insurance is only beneficial to the ebay seller. They have to do all the legwork and they are the ones who get the money from the claim. You are at their mercy either way.

This is an issue with the seller then, not with UPS. The contract for insurance is between shipper and UPS, not recipient. This is how every shipping company is supposed to act, legally.

We sent some stuff to a lady and it got smashed and parts got lost.
She called me then I called UPS. I filed a claim.
I explained that she was one of our customers and we'd need to send her new items immediately.
The lady at UPS authorized a free overnight shipment and that cost was deducted from my UPS account.
The original shipping cost was deducted from my account.
I had a check in my hand for the loss in a week.
That was all covered under the standard free $500 insurance.

Try filing a claim with Fedex or DHL. You'll have to will the refund to your grandkids.
The Post Office is better than UPS with insurance claims. I can usually get a refund within a couple days. Cash at the window.

Stick you nose in bad places you wind up with brown faces.

Looks like you were browned by the UPS! (Unanimous Parcel Strikers)

Unfortunatly this is correct, we have to take issues up with the person who packed and sent the shipment. I thought you could take this up with ebay if the shipper is not responding? I have never used ebay so forigve me ignorance.
