UPS and a phony 2nd attempt?

It's 7pm, and I've been home all day long, where the hell is that UPS truck.
Why do UPS make phony delivery?

On the paper note they said the delivery will take place from 10:30~2:00pm


Current status of my package:
MENLO PARK, CA, US 10/06/2009 3:55 A.M. OUT FOR DELIVERY


MENLO PARK, CA, US 10/05/2009
THE RECEIVER WAS UNAVAILABLE TO SIGN ON THE 1ST DELIVERY ATTEMPT. A 2ND DELIVERY ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE

What the hell is going on?

Are they making me drive unnecessary miles again? This delivery company is so gay.

Likely because he didn't have enough time to attempt a 2nd delivery on the same day. They usually return the next business day.

Actually I just got the package few min after I posted this, along with the other1 from bestbuy.

Still 7:15pm is not 10:30~2

7:15 is before 2am, you got the package before then so you should be happy
