I've never had a problem with either. I've gotten 50 packages or so, I'd say.

The USPS is a different story.

Oh well, good luck. I'd be pissed too.

If UPS is a primarily ground based shipping company, then I really feel sorry for them. FedEx Ground is a much better service in terms of on time delivery, package care, and pricing.

As an example, a 50 pound box with the dimensions of 26x26x26 from New Jersey to California with $2500 Insurance - FedEx Ground: $39.61 UPS Ground: $59.68.

After shipping numerous computers, speakers, and monitors all across the country using FedEx Ground; this is all just my opinion (except for the pricing part) :D. I am a loyal FedEx customer to put it bluntly.

WRONG. 50 pounds coast to coast is $43.97. Want a screenie?

I'll save you the trouble (from capital to capital). Unless you're using some fandangled UPS rate engine, this is what I get.

Moral of the story: use what works best *FOR YOU*, not the guy seven states over.

I second/third that. I think with residential delivery in suburbs (like Grove City, OH) they like to lie about actually stopping at your address. I've seen it 4 times at our house and twice at my apartment in Madison, WI.
