Hi,

Im about to buy this config:

? ANTEC SONATA 3 (with Antec Earthwatts 500W power supply included)
? ARCTIC COOLING FAN 120mm (to apply in the front case)
? WESTERN DIGITAL SE16 250GB 7200 RPM S-ATA2 16MB
? ASUS P5K PRO
? Intel E8400
? GSKILL PC6400 PK DUAL CHANNEL 4GB DDR2
? CLUB 3D RADEON HD3870 512MB DDR4 (PCI-E)

I have some electric problems at home, that include sudden power sutdown, maybe because some bad electrical current distribution, etc... so im thinkink about aquiring an UPS, what you think about that? I have the mustek 800VA USB in mind, do you think this is a good one? or should i go for other brands like APC, MGE, etc... and how about the voltage the 800VA should be enough to keep up with this power supply and computer power consumption?

Thank you in advance

Just bought a 900va APC from Office Depot $89 AR, will install it on Monday, looks very nice and has a lot of great reviews, however it doesn't have an LED readout

Im really annoyed that the battery went out on my F6C1500 (Belkin) and they tell me there is no replacement battery. Is this normal to happen?

Who is "they?" Belkin? They probably mean that THEY (Belkin) don't have a replacement battery for sale.

Most UPS's are made by one of only a handful of OEM's and the batteries are often interchangible. If I were you, I'd open the unit up, pull out the battery and start looking for a replacement. Usually eBay stores have the best price. The batteries are really popular for use with homemade robots and can be had from DIY robot shops for about $10.

Yes, I called Belkin and they said that there is "no replacement battery" - thanks for the suggestion to pull it out!

Well radioshack also carries replacement batteries so if you do pull it out you might be able to cross-reference it with a radioshack model.

Just installed the APC 900va yesterday and that is one well built unit, even had a 20 something item checklist, certified quality control sheet. I'm impressed, the software is also killer. Way overkill for my system, but there is a whole lot of room for upgrades for a long time to come.
