Happens at all the outlets.... Anything i can do or should i call Brighthouse in the morning?

Long and short, you aren't getting a strong enough signal to each of the sets. Quite likely you have a POS splitter or you possibly have too many splitters. How many splitters are there in your house and what are the db loss ratings (typically printed on the splitter) for each leg? Most probable way of fixing this issue is to put an amplifier on the signal before it hits the first splitter in your house and see if that helps. Also a good chance that you have a bad splitter somewhere. I remember that the same thing happened in one part of my old house where there was 1 splitter and replacing the splitter fixed the problem.

Im honestly not sure where the splitter is here, were in a new townhouse. 🙁

Aphex I had the same problem with the televisions further back in my house. Called T.W. and they put a signal amplifier on the line. Now the t.v.'s look OK but still my Leadtek card for my PC looks like static crap. 🙁

Lots of times there will be a weather proof box on the outside of the house with the cable company name on it where the first splitter or junction box is located. You see anything like that on the outside of your townhouse?

It got really bad last night, to the point my cable internet went out around 8pm and didnt come back up until around 9-10am this morning....

I called Brighthouse last night and they are sending someone here today, but they gave me a window of 8am-8pm 😀 Lovely....

Could be a bad drop line from the CMTS to the ground block. Or bad connectors (industry standard is the compression thomas and betts snap-n-seal) letting in moisture, or if the connectors are improperly done, ingress or signal degradation. Bad wallplates (those thing do go bad after repeated in/out of the coaxial cable). Or even someone illegally taping/splitting your cable line.

Hmm...can you check out what the signal is at your cable modem? usually the address is 192.168.100.1

Any ideas why the poor signal would come and go though? The upper channels are still sh!tty, but even the lowers ones got real bad last night, only to clear up again this morning.

Looks like you have a motorola cable modem 😛. My downstream power level is -6dBmV. I have no idea what the hell that means either 😕.

He just got here and left within 2 minutes....

He said one of the amplifiers outside is too hot and needs to be replaced. Should be fixed by tomm 🙂

They fixed it today, everything comes in exceptionally well! 🙂

I have comcast come out to my house every 9 months or so and they never fix anything. Our reception is terrible I'm just too lazy to switch to DirectTV or DISH.
