10-12 grade i had a car so i drove
Rode the bus in elementary school, and the first day of junior high (7th grade). Then I got rides to school until I got a car and was able to drive myself (early junior year of high school I think). I got rides because the bus came so fucking early that we'd get school like 30-45 minutes early and my mom thought that was stupid. Thanks mom!
I got a ride in Elementary school, rode bike in middle school, got a ride the first 2 years of high school, drove myself for the remainder of high school.
I was the first to get on the bus in the mornings, living right at the edge of the county. I'd also sleep on the way to/from school, but one time I didn't wake up when we got to school, and ended up at the "bus barn" after the driver finished her route.
I walked to all the schools. I literally grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. School bus service was not available if you lived with in one mile radius of the school. Except, unless you trespassed across a railroad yard (which I did), walking the legal way to school was 3 1/2 miles.
