I got 9 years out of what I have now.
I did say 6 "good" years. With time, you will start feeling this is slow too. That's just how the human brain works. I started from a 386DX-40. Loved it at the time. WOULD NOT want to use it today.

How about fairly good??
If you keep the system dust free and the PSU doesn't have any current spiking issues (ripple current is minimum), you can expect it to last virtually forever. If you never turn it off and keep it in sleep mode when not in use forever, that would prolong its life even more.

I could if I wanted to give up 2 of the most important functions of Masking and enhancement, neither of which that program has. Then add many of the functions are keyboard shortcuts which makes ANY program out of the question. It was a issue 20 years ago, it's 10x more of a issue now. I haven't found a way to update my RAM.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm usually open to trying new programs that fit my uses. Elsewhere someone else suggested a above high-end more than professional program. The size of the file was THREE Gigabytes. I laughed. It would be like using a ICBM to shoot off for the 4th of July.

Which program was that? It could be an AI model file it is using for better quality results, especially if that program has Nvidia CUDA support.

There's cheaper RAM available but this one is CL10 which means it will improve your performance more for not that much extra money.
