I currently have a Geforce FX 5950 Ultra and while it has done a damn good job, it's time to upgrade. Me and a partner are going half and half on the cost of a new card, we considered going PCI-E....but not yet, we'll wait until the DX10 cards come out.

Currently the fastest card out is the Gainward 7800gs+ Bliss. What a beast...but it isn't available in the USA and buying overseas would be too damn much for an AGP card.

Last I checked 2 months ago, the fastest of the AGP was the EVGA 7800gs superclock. Then I read about the BFG Tech 7800gs CO being on top...and I just got done reading about the XFX 7800gs getting a recommendation from Hexus.com.

I'm probbaly getting conflicting info from new and old articles, it can be a huge task sorting through it all, so I'll just ask here for a straight answer.

Besides the 7800gs+ Bliss, what is the fastest AGP card out right now? (ATI included)

-thanks

Yes, that is the fastest agp card...though not really cheap. I'm assuming you have an athlon xp or a socket 478 p4? Either of those are the only real reason why it'll be expensive to go with pci-e right now. If you want the best performer for the price, I believe the X850Pro @ $120 might be better http://shop.ati.com/product.asp?sku=2699206 .

I think the fastest for ATI is the X850XT (Or PE, not sure if they have it in AGP flavor).

The fastest for Nvidia is definitely the 7800GS.

Get an eVGA 7800GS, so you could step-up to a DX10 card within 90 days, which is when they should come out.

I've decided to go with the EVGA GeForce 7800 GS KO SUPERCLOCKED 256MB w/ACS³.
Browsing google, trying to find a vendor for a lower price.
