Upgrading to AMD XP

I upgraded a little microATX ECS K7SEM ver. 1 mobo's "BIOS "to accept AMD's XP 1600 cpu.

When it boots up, it reads only 1.050 ghz. , yes I tried the to increase the frequency/voltage controls to 133/133/33 , it reads Athlon XP on the boot up screen but then locks up. It's ok with 100/100/33 and runs normal.

I do see a ! error in the Win98se device mgr. line up under SCI IRQ used by ACPI bus and indicates under the general info tab in properties " Windows stopped responding while attempting to start this device, and therefore will never attemt to start this device again. (code 11) try upgrading the device drivers for this device."

This could be my problem but how do I find this file and upgrade file or could there be something else I overlooked?

maybe the ram doesn't like the 133 bus? or maybe the ram timings are too fast for 133?

this could be alot of things

Take a look at your PSU as well. XP proc setups generally don't like anything less than 300 watt supplies. Especially if you're running a lot of extras..

Rich, I have a Codegen 300 Watt p.s. and minimal components to draw the power from it.
Also, I have changed the ram 3 times. Anyone else have any ideas?
