Upgrading SSD help any ?

Currently I have a 128 GB Cruical m4 SSD. Would upgrading to a newer SSD be noticeable or not really ?

I really don't need the extra space only using 19.1 GB right now.

I went from Crucial MX to Samsung 850 and back to Crucial MX and I could see no difference in performance.

Yes, go NVMe on your desktop when you need to replace your current SSD. It's a further reduction in latency and an improvement in 'software' efficiency. Your data no longer needs to go through the SATA chip and it's instructions then PCI-e to your CPU. It's just PCI-e, instructions are the NVMe protocol then to your CPU. That's just tip of the iceburg of it's advantages.
