Im soon going to be putting a P42.4B in a granite bay mobo, with 512MB samsung Pc2700 ddr. Video is a Gainward Geforce 4 Ti4200, Have sound card, TV tuner, and modem. About 6-7 fans will need power, a 30GB WD Hd, CDRW/DVD combo dirve, and floppy. The PSu is an Enermax whisper EG365P-VE(FC) --350watt. Im going to overclock the processor and video. Will this be enough, or do you think I will need a more powerful one?

perhaps with the 6-7 fans a better psu would be needed
maybe you can hook up 1 psu for system and cpu heatsink fan, and 2nd psu for other fans?

what kind of fans?

(are you counting the psu fans as well...cuz dont)

I have the same power supply, and a high voltage system, with a ton of stuff, but only 4 fans. I have never had a problem. You may be able to run with less fans if you use Reostat Versions (voltage adjustable by YS Tech) because you could customize your pull and draw so that the air was flowing with the minimum amount of power.

Why so many fans? Because I can.. No real reason. Just a bunch of 80mm.. In a real big case. Im not counting the ones in the PSU either. I think ill try out this power, see how it goes. If i need more, so be it.

I think the 6-7 case fans is ridiculous and almost laughable for an intel system.....

Look at my oc down below and I can tell you I run 2 80mm case fans and 1 ystech adjustable 80mm fan on an alpha heatsink and the top temps I hit under heaviest load for 3-4 hours is 26c system 50c cpu (with 38-39 idle)......This is also on a non asus mobo, if you know what I mean!!!;)....Heck I got more hdd and drives period then you plus heavy heat generator like the Radeon 8500DV....

MOre fans doesn't make you cooler!!!:D

Get a good hs that can handle an 80mm fan and you should only need like 3-4 case fans max....
