I just upgraded must of my PC components:
mobo: Asrock X570 Phantom Gaming 4
GPU: XFX Radeon RX580 Black Edition 8GB
PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G5
RAM: G.SKILL Aegis 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600)
I fresh installed Win10 but every time the GPU driver kicked in it stopped working. I had to make win10 not automatically update drivers so I could upgrade win10 and activate it from my account.

Finally, I did install GPU and mobo drivers and it boots for at least 3 to 4 minutes but then the video signal just stops and the keyboard lights also stop and nothing can be done except a reset.
Please help me.

Link to PSU tester results. (Is it bad?)

Start simple: Reboot in safe mode with networking, download the latest AMD drivers, not just graphics, chipset too. Then reboot and immediately install them. If that does not work, report back.

I have initial questions based on your post. Is this upgrading 10 from win 7 or 8 you are describing? And is the RX580 new or were you using it before the upgrade?

You stealth edited? Or my coffee needs to kick in. I did not read the drivers sentence before. o_O

Let me ask more questions. Not intended to insult you, just that if I had a dollar for every time someone, including myself forgot something super basic, I would have enough to buy RTX 2080ti SLI.

Are the PCIe power connectors on the 580 plugged in and firmly seated? You installed the chipset drivers first? How about a different Display output, and it is also firmly inserted? And you could try it in the other PCIe x16 slot too.

All the drivers were downloaded from AMD just before installing Windows10 and kept in a USB drive and then installed to the PC. No is not an upgrade from an old Windows version to Windows 10. It is just that my license key is digital and kept in the Microsoft account. and the only way for me to activate the OS license is updating to the latest Windows updates immediately and then ask the system to activate it using my Microsoft account.
The RX580 is the only part I bought second hand from eBay. It looks practically new and it came with all the stickers... but seems not to be working for me.

Now we are getting somewhere. Try the other PCIe x16 slot, if it still fails, I think you may have a faulty card. Cleaning it up to look new is easy. Does not mean it was not worn out mining on it. If you can access another system to test it in, that would tell the tale.

For future reference, I would not worry about activating windows until everything is up and running, and passed stress testing. All it does after awhile, is have a little see through message telling you to activate, no big deal. Saves time and hassle IMO.

Thanks a lot for all your suggestions. I will try all of them later today and will keep you posted.
BTW: I think your question about the power connectors is a completely valid one.
So I would check that too.

I can attest to this, even if you don’t activate windows 10 it will still work just doesn’t let you open too many things at once. Otherwise it works fine if you ignore the nagging to activate windows 10.
For anyone wondering yes I activated windows 10 after a day or two delay.

I’m suspicious of the eBay video card. Seems like eBay is full of scum & villainy

Just a simple example.

When I built my new machine I got kind of aggressive using canned air to clean my 280x.
Can had ice on the base when I was done, card worked fine for desktop use for a day or two. When I ran a game for a bit it became awfully pixilated.
Stop the game and waited a bit then the card worked fine. Tried a game and same result.
I suspect I got some water on the board and shorted something out but not enough to kill the card.
Card looked used but clean. I could easily dump that on eBay if I wanted. Someone complains either I cash out or give them money back. Zero risk for me.

You ain't wrong. You really have to do your research or be prepared to use the money back guarantee when taking a gamble on a newish seller.

They gave me a 10 percent off coupon which I leveraged to get various parts for unbeatable prices when I bought them. All shipped free. One item was here next day from a seller here in FL. Another arrived within 3 biz days instead of the 7-10 indicated, the other arrived on time. Everything was in great condition and worked when tested, and still does. And do not forget big biz like Newegg and BestBuy are on there too.

On the other side: Looking for PSUs, and they slyly try to sell you modular with no cables, or the useless ones like floppy. Or they individually list them, and when you check, they have a bunch of the same ones you know came from a mining fleet. Vid cards with the same M.O. Multiple identical 1080ti for $400 bucks or so, but you know it they have been running non stop for years.

That can mean the core or ram are unstable/nerfed. Underclocking can reveal it sometimes, as it will stablize and stop artifacting. Not that it changes the fact that they sold you a dud.

I checked the seller feedback before buying and it is a 100% positive one.
But he has not answered any of my messages about it not working.

Not a new card, same card from my old machine.

Really the only tests are
Make sure all cables are connected tightly and properly
*If* possible try a different video card that you know works and see what happens

I see said the blind man, to his deaf wife, that could not hear him.

Still really wired how the card sort of works.
However when I worked in wireless, I remember water damage to phones could be weird. Like phone got wet days ago now ringer stopped working or everything is fine except the 7 key doesn’t work.
I’m chalking it up to something kind of important failed but not something critical.

Maybe, but underclocking core and vram is always a good troubleshooting step. Particularly if 2D is completely stable. Heck, may have needed t.i.m. redone, if you had not done it since purchase.

OP, let us know when you do.

I did windows restore point to when I fidst insralled the OS. Then installed the mobo drivers but it started malfunction. First flickering all over then the blue screen bsod and it restarted a few times until its working but I think win10 automatically unistalled the drivers saying that they caused problems. How do I know if the drivers are still installed?
Then I installed the GPU drivers and the same thing happened. Windows strated to restart and reboot saying that something went wrong. Right now is updating win10. I installed the Realtek audio drivers the video card stoped working againg. The video signal stops and the keyboard and mouse are unusable. This is the first time I install the Audio drivers but the problem is the same as before.

What BIOS revision is installed on the computer? Also, what CPU are you running?

to bad you cant just test the card on a working system, i cant stand only having one pc and having to troubleshoot, drives me mad and i just start buying extra parts. I would just download windows with the updates included already (no one does this?) or just not update until i get it working. chipset then gfx card drivers, hate to say been a while since i used a amd gpu so i dont know which drivers to say to install (some would choose very old ones right!?)

So if you don't install the GPU drivers does it work?
Yes if don't install them it works but only if I set the OS not to automatically update drivers. If I leave the OS as is normally set then it would update drivers and the video signal is lost a few minutes after booting.

The seller from eBay just answered and told me that I have the option to return it. But I would like to be sure that the problem is the GPU and not other pc part.
