Upgrading my computer Help!

Hello. I wish to upgrade my computer for gaming purposes. I've got very little knowledge about hardware and so I decided to turn to this forum. Very grateful for answers. Here are my components ATM:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
Motherboard P5E Deluxe
RAM: 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 @ 400.7 MHz
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4870


My budget is ~800$ (I can stretch to 1000$). I wish to play in 1900x1080.
High to very high graphics.

Titles I'd like to play:
Black Desert Online. These are the recommended system requirements:
Intel CPU: Core i5-650 3.2GHz
AMD CPU: Phenom II X3 740 Black Edition
Nvidia GPU: GeForce GTX 650 1GB
AMD GPU: Radeon HD 7750 1GB GDDR5
6 GB GD RAM

Other games include: League of legends, The witcher 3

Well - you will need a pretty much new PC - not just upgrade. You may be able to use your old case and power supply and possible your OS. So you might want to list those. All the components you listed are too old to be used.

With $1000 you should be able to build a decent PC to game per you requirements.

I have a very similar pc, built back in 2006 except with only 2gb of ram.
