Upgrading Hard Drive

I have a Dell Inspiron 510m. I want to upgrade my hard drive. Is there any limit?? And how would I know if i have more than one slot for hard drives??

the only laptops with 2 internal drive holders are the 15-pound gaming laptops, you only have room for 1 drive.

Your laptop should support every 2.5" laptop drive out there (you can't use a 3.5" desktop drive).

Nope there are 160GB 2.5" drives, i'd stick to 5400 rpm, 7200 may be pushing the thermal envelope too far.

As for it working with ALL formats. They used to all be a form of ATA. But isn't a version of SATA moving into some of the laptops and their corresponding drives? So there may have to be a check on that.

yeah, there are laptops with SATA now. How much speed differnece is there between 7200 and 5400? Even my old 40gb drice from ~2000 ish is 7200.
