Out of the products listed I'd go with the 7770, http://www.flipkart.com/sapphire-am...39YR&ref=c6456e13-ec35-41e1-9c8f-82cd936d5449

The 6850 looks to be out of stock and the 560 seems to be above your price range. Though more than likely all these cards will be held back by your cpu. The phenom 9650 was released back in March of 2008 I believe and was rather slow even new.

Looking at your MB, Asus M3A78-EM, it does appear to support Phenom II x4 and x6 cpu's. Though it seems that both sites you listed no longer have such cpu's in stock.

if the card perform better than hd7770 then i can stretch my budget somewhat.i have no intention to play at maxed settings,it just should make the upcoming games atleast playable.some/all frills can be lower down.

That CPU is going to hold back even a 7770 more often than not. A 7770 or 6850 plus a Phenom II is your best upgrade if you can swing it.

i found this new quote from abacus peripheral locally ;
Powercolor 7770 - rs 8500
sparkle GTX 560 - rs 10,100

does these prices good ? they provide powercolor ,sparkle and palit sales & service (hand to hand). are powercolor ,sparkle or palit good brands ?

"Now have a 17 "CRT ,upgrading to Dell 2312 sooner or later"

that will most likely be 1024x768 and it does not sound like you have any serious plans for upgrading the monitor anytime soon.

"will upgrade CPU later"

when? as a 9650 is pretty poky and will really hold back a decent card.

I say wait until you have enough money to get a cpu and modern monitor at the same time you get a card.

Why it does not look serious ? when the monitor become dead ,you have to buy a new one .this crt monitor is showing it's death symptoms like black on startup and light increases in time and high pitch sound from inside .i am going to use this monitor until it's death ( first i was thinking to change it before it's death).it's like it might die tomorrow , after 1month or 1yr.i couldn't tell.

so what should be better;buy a gfx card card for crt resolution now and if monitor may die & have to buy a new one and stuck with low performing card. OR buy a med range card to be safe for future events.upgrading gfx now is my priority as onboard is not enough to play game playable.
CPU upgrade is not in mind now and i don't think that's necessary.maybe in future. CPU+monitor+gfx upgrade would cost 35-40k INR.

BTW if have to play at crt res. ,what is a good card to consider . so that it can play on a HD monitor game playable if crt goes off.

7770 or 560 will do fine @1080p if you don't bother to turn down some settings here and there.

a cx430 only provides 336 watts on the 12v at just 30 C which is not a realistic temperature. your system would easily pull close to 300 watts so yes it will work but its not very ideal.

and I still think its silly to get a card like that to play at 1024x768 since you are not going to buy a new monitor until that one fails which could be long time. with your cpu, you will not even get half of what that card is capable of at 1024x768 anyway. not too mention that your cpu will be just a limitation in general for some games on higher settings.
