I'm upgrading from my current setup Abit kt7-raid, amd 1ghz@1.2Ghz 1.85v to an Ecs K7s5a and an amd 1.2ghz AXIA. Am I going to need to do a clean install?

If so, what would be the best (read- easiest as in least amount of pain) method to go about doing this? Just image the drives? Any suggestions?

Thx in advance fellas

You *always* have to to a clean reinstall of Windows when switching motherboards. I prefer backing up my non-replaceable data, things that can't be lost without some pain (My Documents folder, Distributed.net blocks, saved games, Favorites, Downloads folder I haven't done anything with yet, email, that sort of thing) and then format and reinstall all the apps (it's a pain sometimes, but getting a clean install of a everything is nice). You can't image the drive because you'd be placing the image of Windows installed on an old MB and then placing it on a new one--it would be the same as just switching motherboards.

grrr....well I don't have the time to go through that hassle now.

Oh well, missing an upgrade won't kill me, right?

Thx
