Upgrading from a EVGA GTX 760 2GB SC ACX GDDR5

Hello everyone! Can someone tell me if what I currently have is good?

EVGA GTX 760 2GB SC ACX GDDR5 SLI Ready Graphics Card

I bought it for $150 last year and I have a feeling I can get a much better card for the same price right now, but there's so much to choose from I am stumped.

Can someone tell me if it's worth upgrading my card or if I should just keep it.

The only games I play are World of Warcraft, but I heard Halo 5 is coming out and I want to have a card that can handle it.

Now that I think about it, perhaps I should upgrade my processor instead?

Processor upgrade would be nice but I don't think it's worth the money in your case. You'd be better off getting a newer video card. You can either wait for the 470, 460 and 460s from AMD, or the 1050 from NVIDIA if you're in the $150 price range. If you up it by $100 you can look at the RX480 or GTX1060 and both cards would be pretty strong for you. I'd skip the CPU upgrade since going from 4 to 8 cores wouldn't make a huge difference in most games and it's the same chip otherwise. Save that money and put it toward a video card.

Maybe an RX480 4GB for $200 if you can find one in stock. Should last a couple of years but at that point you're looking at a full platform upgrade. That CPU isn't great.

Better yet, wait a week or so for the 470 or even 460 to be released. the 4gb 470 @ $160-170 sounds exactly like what you need. And also wait to see if nVidia has plans for a 1050.

If it weren't for your mention of HALO and possibly other similar games coming out, the 460 or even the as-yet unpriced 1060 3gb might be worth considering (but 3gb really is a bad idea for new purchases today, especially if you want to use this thing for 2+ years and hope to play some new games at decent settings in 1080). Anything you get now can handle WoW, though.

Best bet would be to look at the 470 or even the 460 and pocket the savings on your budget for a future CPU upgrade.

FYI: if you can find a reference RX 480 4gb at the 199 MSRP, it would probably be best to snatch it in the 1 minute window that it will be available. All of those 4gb reference cards can be easily flashed to full 8gb (they have 8gb of physical memory on them). Those probably exist now in the only stock that will be released, and it is hard to deny the value in 4gb of free memory (the 8gb model goes for $240@ MSRP)
