"Upgrading" from a 1.7 P4 to a 1.6A?

Would it be reasonable to get a 1.6A and try to overclock it on my ABit TH7-II RAID? I haven't had much success with my normal 1.7, but I'm not sure if it's the CPU or the RAM. Is using RDRAM and trying to overclock the 1.6A just dumb / asking for failure?

I don't think it's dumb to try, I'm pretty sure that there are people out there with that same board getting really good results. I don't know how much of a difference (if any) you'd notice doing that though. But if you just want to jump on the northwood bandwagon then it might make you happy for a little while to be able to say you have a 1.6 @ 2.4.
