Upgrading CPU or RAM in 939 system which is the best bang for the $$

I'm thinking of upgrading my CPU or Ram to stay off a complete system upgrade. which do you think would be the biggest bang for the buck? or do I really need both if I hope to play the latest/next gen of games. I just RMA'd my BFG 6800 ultra and got a 7800GS back. So I think my video card is good to go.

Looking at the: Opteron 175 or Mushkin 2x1gb Redline Extreme PC4000

Any recommendations would be great! should I be looking at different CPU/RAM

Thanks,
Clinth

ewiz has a X2 4400+ (same as opteron 175) for $169

Then add from zzf KHX3200AK/2G for $177 which runs low latency...personally I'd would'nt get the ram..just tighten up your system and you should not exceed 1GB.

Well anything would be better than a 2.75 MHz CPU, sheesh, my 386 ran faster ;0)

Anyway, as far as games go I think your video card would still be the limiting factor anway.

Ya, woops that was a type-o I think my 286 was faster too but It hard to remember that llong ago. LOL.
