Upgrading Cooling

I recently got a 200 gig HD and upped the ram on my computer, I also upgraded cpu's to a sempron 3300+. Does any of this upgrading require more cooling? I only have 1 fan (don't know the size and 1 exhaust outlet). Should I worry about it now or be more worried when I upgrade stuff like video cards and other HD's? I wish I could remember what case I have, it has been a while since I bought this case and really wasn't in to computers that much when I got it so I really didn't care about specifics that much. I just had the salesman at PC Club hook me up with stuff that would work together at that point. Since I have upgraded some of my components, I do not know if they need better cooling or not.

You should be fine as long as you do not overclock. The extra hard drive should generate more heat in your system but not enough heat to be worried about.

Only upgrade if 1. your computer is overheating 2. you're overclocking or 3. you think it's too loud.

for me, it was #3 that got me. after i got the cooling, i decided to overclock a bit (now not OC'd because of stability). never was my computer overheating though.

Oh, also, you didn't list your video card, but if it supports temp monitoring (nVidia 6800 and above, not sure about ATi), run RivaTuner in the background while playing a game or running 3dMark(05 or 06) and chart your temps.

To do this, click on box with filmstrip and magnifying glass in this picture:

Let us know if you can't find any of these programs, but a Google search will track them down for you.

Edit: I started upgrading cooling for a) to get more than a 5% overclock and b) noise. If your temps are decent, you're not planning to overclock, and it's not too loud for you, then save the money and buy a new power supply. You'll probably find you need that before new cooling (and with the right one can lower the noise of your rig).

Don't know how to monitor the temp on a load but just sitting here the HD=34C Temp 1=31C, Temp 2=35C, Temp 3=31C

It is getting a little loud for me, I think it might even be louder than it used to be. So I think I might just have to do some upgrading. I have an nvidia graphics card (not sure wich one) if that makes a difference. So anymore help would be wonderful.

your temps are all fine... if your looking to upgrade for noise reduction I recommend Zalman products. they are among the most silent available.
