upgrading computer

time has come for me to upgrade. Built my baby about 1 year or so ago.

amd 3500
(939)
1gig corsair xms
xfx 7800gt
ecs k8t890.a mobo
cd/dvd drive
2 hd
ultra psu 500wts


Im looking at a budget of say $550 dollars give or take a bit.

dont know if i should go with a new mobo proc and maybe another 7800gt or just a better video card? any ideas or suggestions?

Yup, tell us if you game and at what resolutions you game at.

game alot, pretty much every new game ill be itching to play. 🙂. right now im at 1024x768 on a dell p990 crt, im actually planning on getting a lcd sometime after easter weekend

i think u should spend about $300 on a new LCD w/ 1680x1050 resolution and spend the other $200-250 on a used dual core 939 CPU and the rest on 1 gb of ram.. or if u dont want the dual core power spend the $250 on a new GPU

what about getting a new mobo proc and ram setup and wait for dx10 cards?

i would just drop in a nice dual core cpu and maybe double the ram
