I currently have a Turtle Beach Montego II Quadzilla sound card. It seems to work okay but is not fantastic. I have my sound card hooked up to my stero system using a cable with a miniplug on one end and two RCA jacks on the other end. The stero system has two large bookshelf speakers and another two smaller Altec-Lansing stero speakers. I'd like to get some better sound from my computer - should I buy a new sound card or speakers, or both? Not looking to spend a lot of $ though, around $120. Thanks

well, most mp3's dont sound too great to begin with, unless you have 256 and up, or that vbr stuff. but even with that high rate, mp3's strip music of all the extra music in the background. your sound card is fine for mp3s. you would only want to upgrade to a audiophile sound card if you had high end headphones or speakers, but in your case it wouldn't matter. your source would be the weakest link in the setup.
