Upgrading Card questions

you have to check if your mobo has an agp or pci-express slot. if it doesn't then you either have to buy a new mobo, or buy a regular pci video card. as far as i know, the fastest regular-pci video card still in production is the nvidia geforce 5700, tho if your system is at least 2 years old it'll probably have an agp slot.

ps: i forgot to answer your question... no, integrated video is NOT upgradable. usually once you put in a proper agp/pci-x/pci video card the mobo will switch itself over to that display and ignore your integrated video.

okay, my computer is a emachines t5026, can you check for me, cause i don't really know this stuff, ooo and tell me whihc one to buy which isn't to expsensive yet still pretty good!

If you upgrade, remember to uninstall and/or disable the Integrated video through the Device Mananger just to be safe that there won't be a confliction between the two.

"ATI RADEON 9200/9250 series delivers a dazzling 3D experience to PC enthusiasts with the best performance in its class, optimized for a compelling gaming environments and applications. " LOL, I have this card...not exactly "Dazzling".

But it will do the job :-D

They say the same thing about every video card... including those S3 Virge video cards (anyone remember those?).
