Upgrading a weapon in BF2?--dont get the M95!

this things no better than the standard rifle (for the USA) still takes 2-3 shots to kill someone. sometimes even if you shot them SQUARE in the FACE

lying on the ground, enemy medic runs at me, dives starts shooting, i shoot his face, the crosshairs register the hit, he kills me with his machine gun.....great.

what a waste of an upgrade...i shoulda got the G36C

well 12. whatever mm ammo (.50 cal?) and it cant kill people with headshots

just out of curiosity....what would happen in real life if someone got shot in the head/upper body with a .50 cal round?

They would no longer have a head/upper body. If it did remain attached, there would be a nice golfball sized hole, minimum.

I have twice been killed by that bloody m95 in bf2 that I know of

both times I was moving, both times at close range and one time while driving the hummer and trying to run the sniper over... one shot.. me dead

i'm starting to think cheating is getting alive again, once today and once yesterday

None of the upgrades are really upgrades, just alternatives. Sniper is stronger, but still not enough to kill in one shot, and slightly less accurate. The G36 is stronger for sure, but far less accurate, holds less bullets, and you lose your grenade launcher (!!!). The Spec ops rifle is a bit stronger, but doesnt have a red dot sight and blocks half your view. The medic rifle has a killer zoom, but is weak not all too accurate at times. Dunno about the shotty upgrade, but thats a wack upgrade to begin with. Same with the support upgrades.

The basic USMC sniper rifle is really horrible to me. It has to semi reload everytime it shoots, and by that time the guy knows theres a sniper and runs away.

Take another chance with that m95. it might have been that person was a cheater or just that you got really really unlucky.

I got the G36C and I'm not looking back. It's a great gun with high accuracy and I have out-sniped MANY snipers with it. It also has the dmg output you need up close.

Ill admit i was dissapointed with the M95, but then i realised... WOW this is a game... Weakass sniper rifles make the game more fun for the majority. Also if you still are undeterred and wanna be a good sniper you *must* hit their head, for all but the most experianced of snipers hitting a moving targets head is near impossible, dont bother with the body thats hopeless usually.

As for the other upgrades, i also think theyre just alternatives, majoritively poorer alternatives to the original guns. Either way, dosent affect me as im a tank whore

yeah i hate how they reload like they're on holiday, your in a flippin virtual war environment, you havent got time to take the rifle from your eye, look at it, and pull the bolt back!

plus....i must be very unlucky or there are alot of cheaters.....this happens almost every shot. ill get a spirt of one shot kills, then go back to 2-3 shot kills at distance....and point blank shots that dont kill in one shot

aye, my favorite rifle is the MEC's. gotton alot of heatshots with that thing on people too dumb and just stand around. and when i miss the head, theres always how i can fire several more times before i have to reload.

i don't know why u cant get head shots with the rifle, you must not be that great of a sniper than. i've gotten so many head shots in BF2 with ALL the sniper weapons expecially the USMC one, it's pretty damn accurate, but i love the MEC one cus it shoots so damn fast, just aim right and lead them off when running. just practice practice practice

M95 is great if you are playing MEC or china. It does more than twice the damage of their native sniper rifles.
