just want to get a few opinions on which motherboard/ cpu to get, my price range is 300 bucks, and really interested in the 939 pin, any help would be good. thanks in advance.
 
If thats your budget you can wait a lil while some more nforce4 boards are out there and prices get lowe so you can get a cheaper ultra....and a decent athlon 64
 
What I've read indicates late this month and into Feb. Definitely go 939. Don't shell out for the expensive ones if you are even considering overclocking, as they all end up in the same ballpark anyway. Cost-effective is my game so I went 3000+ and got lucky.

I'd get a Winchester 3000+ or 3200+ with a good motherboard like an Epox EP-9NDA3+, MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum, or Asus A8V Deluxe. Not much point in getting fired up about PCIe right now, IMO.
