Upgrading a Aptiva A50 (Pentium 150)

Hi everyone. Let me start with my story.

My parents are building a new house with smart wiring... The house includes three computers with lcd touch screens etc... But we want a few more computers in some of the rooms for surfing etc...

Anyway I have two rigs. One of them is top of the line.. The other is old school. I wanted to upgrade the old school one so that it will at least be decent at surfing. (its not teriible right now but if i could upgrade to something faster and the price is right i would)..

I've done some research on the net and found that its possible to upgrade to a k6-2 300 mhz.

So basically i wanted to know if anyone has ever upgraded a a50 (wow wouldn't that be amazing no need to search the net)

or

If a k6-2 300 CPU would really make this computer significantly faster.

Also if anyone knows a site or whether it can be upgraded to something else. That would help too!
