Don't leave the 7800 club, man! I was going to hold out for the GT280, but it seems lacking. I guess I'm waiting until the Fall of 09.

? How so?

Don't get me wrong, it's nothing to sneeze at, it's just not producing the numbers that I was expecting. I haven't been keeping up with tech over the past few years, so maybe there's something going on here that I'm not getting.

It looks like it's getting trounced by the AMD cards.

Chose this card b/c it seemed to be the fastest around that is also OS X compatible.

Sorry man, already left!

Got a good deal to sell the whole Shuttle + 7800GTX so I couldn't pass it up. Actually it was hard getting any sort of offer at all with an extremely flakey/broken PSU, so I really didn't mind the price as long as I got a little $ back.

The 7800GTX has served me very well, but I'm liking what I see in the 9800GTX+ so far! :)

not sure if you've purchased a new video card, but you could run TF2 in DX8 with your 7800GTX and you'll see immediate performance gains

it's just a matter if you want to maintain playability over eye candy
