Upgraded PC

I just finished upgrading my PC from an XP 2800+ to Athlon 64 3500+(90nm). Everything seems to be working fine now, except the sound. I installed all the mobo chipset drivers that came on the CD. The mobo is DFI LanParty NF4-Ultra D.

Its certainly nice to have a clean windows install on a brand new PC. Squeaky clean and fast.

I checked the bios, seems to be enabled there, downloaded the latest drivers, still no go. Or am I missing it in the bios? I set AC 97 in the bios to auto, there were only 2 options - auto or disabled.

Edit : Never mind, works now, I forgot to plug in a tiny module.

Got a different problem now. I tried to play an .avi file, it said I didnt have the correct codec. So I went to microsoft.com and downloaded codecs for WMP 7.1 or later. Now, I have sound, but no video. Any ideas? I am running WMP 10.

Edit : after downloading divx codec, it works fine
