Went from a c466 to a 1.0 gig celery, everthing is A -ok,but my Ms Sidewinder 3d pro shows as not connected now,re-installed all the software, plus the new sidewinder software from MS (ver 3.02)and the 3dpro patch, still no luck, had the same prob with my buddies pc (same upgrade and stick)and the patch worked for him,but no go for me.I updated to dx8.1,still no luck.Any ideas?don't wanna buy a new one.My gravis pad works fine.Help.Thanks.

Maybe it isn't physically connected. Have you double checked your connections? Is it USB? Maybe the USB header has an internal connection that isn't connected. If it's going through the game port of the soundcard, maybe it isn't connected well. Have you tried swapping sticks w/ your friend to see if yours will work on his machine and vice versa?

Thanks for your reply ubersam, the stick is not usb,it connects to the gameport on the sound card and it is connected to the port.It worked prior to the upgrade, maybe it has someting to do with SSE instructions? We tried the stick swap, same thing.I have win 98,dx8.1,vortex1,voodoo3,all with latest drivers,as I said it worked fine before I swapped cpu's.Gotta get Falcon 4 going.Thanks.
