Hello,
I woud like to buy GTX 460 or GTX 560, but can it handle my CPU ?

CPU: Core 2 Quad Q6600 2,4 GHz
MB: Intel DP35DP (i can´t overlock on it, because Bios is from Intel)
GPU: Sapphire Radeon 4670 512 MB GDDR 4
RAM: 2x1 GB 800 MHz Kingston (i am going to buy next 2x1 GB)
PSU: 350 W ModeCom (i know it needs better, i want buy Seasonic SS 500 W)
HDD: 40 GB for O.S. and 250 GB (i don´t need more)
O.S.: Windows 7 64 bit
Monitor: 19" Samsung 940BF 1280x1024 75 Hz

You should refer to other such topics about "cpu being the bottleneck" to get answers for that. Normally you are "GPU bottlenecked" in todays games. There are some exceptions like Civilization games, heavy strategy games like Supreme commander etc, which require a better or good CPU.

You will be very happy with either card at your current resolution, and happy even if you go up to 1920x1080 which is the norm today i belive. Your cpu should work for that.
 
sorry but a gtx460 and especially gtx560 would be a huge waste at 1280x1024. your stock cpu would kill the performance of those cards at such a low res. if you are going to stick with that horrific 5:4 monitor then just get a 5750 or gts450. and of course you are going to need more ram and a better psu.
 
I guess you did not see my post? there is no point in anything stronger than a 5750/5770/gts450 for that low res and with your setup.
 
So the best way should be buy new PSU, RAM and GPU (gtx 460 or 560) and later buy new monitor and motherboard for OC? Or buy something like ATi 5830, PSU and RAMs? What do you think?
 
You would see a huge difference from your 4670, even if it'd be limited by the CPU from its full potential (mostly because you're running 1280x1024...)

I recommend, however, splurging on an ASRock M3A770DE + Phenom II X4 955 BE to go with a GTX 560. That'd be one killer setup (and you'd notice it once you move to full HD)!

why on earth would he buy an inferior cpu right out of the gate? spending a little more to get Sandy Bridge if getting a new platform makes more sense. he would have a cpu that would give him the most out of current and future gpus for much much longer. crap even the freaking i3 2120 beats any thing AMD has when it comes to gaming. it also does that while using a fraction of the power.
 
So, what if i take the new GPU (GTX 560), PSU and then spend money on SB or Bulldozer and DDR3 RAM? What do you think about it? 🙂
