I just wanted to add that one thing in particular that is really annoying about the Q6600: file downloads and security scans. I downloaded the same file on all 3 of my machines. I clocked out the entire process... open dropbox, get weblink from dropbox, open browser (I used IE9), paste link into browser, wait for page to load, click download button, wait for download, run program, wait for install to finish, and finally launch the program. On the i5 and i3 machines it took roughly the same amount of time: 20 seconds. On the Q6600 machine you would naturally expect this process to take about 30 seconds. 40 seconds tops. But no, it took well over a minute. Just the security scan alone took 8 full seconds! This same security scan is instant on the i3, it just flashes past it and I barely even notice it. Mind you this isnt a big file, and the actual download time was the same on all machines. There are several types of actions that are instantaneous on the new i3 but take a heck of a long time on the Q6600. This stuff doesnt show up in benchmarks.
