Get some cinderblocks for your speakers. While being to the left or right of your speakers is no big deal (if they've been designed properly), any more than 15 degrees above or below the axis of dispersion and you're in trouble.

In fact, I saw someone on head-fi putting one speaker on each side of his head and setting the output from his soundcard to "headphone mode". You've already got the speakers, the amp, and the soundcard - why not give it a shot?

Finally, if you want a sub, the Dayton Titanic kit might float your boat, and shouldn't be any harder to assemble than Ikea furniture. However, if you want to cross over to smaller speakers at 80hz instead of the sub-50hz your speakers should manage, you might want something else.

Lol I was the one with that headphone mode setup. I would need 2 cinder blocks per speaker if I was to try that. They are very deep/long speakers but are narrow and would need a wide base.

Maybe I will get a receiver and sub. Try raising the speakers up and a foot closer to the back wall. Then see where I am at. They are damn fine sounding speakers.
