Upgrade to DDR?

This month I will be building a new 'puter (socket A). I had planned on going, 1 gig AMD, Abit KT7 RAID and 256 MB PC133 RAM. Will DDR make much of a difference? I want something fast that will last me two years or better. Right now I have a Viper 770 Ultra video card that I will still use. Will this still work or do DDR MOBO's change things? I do a lot of online gaming and Photoshop work.

I myself am doin the exact same thing you are, gettin a new socketA system soon. Some of my advice firstoff: think about getting a KT133A board or a DDR board, forget about KT133.
