Alright, so I've been needing a new graphics card for about 6 months now, and I should have jumped on a 4890 when they were still going for like $150... but Bad Company 2 is pretty much kicking my comp's ass currently, and I need to upgrade soon!
Current video card is a 9600gt
Proc: e6750 @ ~3.4ghz
6 gb ddr2 ram
Antec TruePower Trio 550W
Currently, I am looking at either a 4890 (one of the few left) or POSSIBLY a 5770.. Both should be a pretty significant step up (200%?) Any suggestions? Think the prices will drop a bit at the end of the month due to Fermi? Am I correct in assuming my power supply would be able to feed these?
I know the processor may hold the graphics card back a little in some games, but that is acceptable.. I'm probably going to OC the crap out of it (shove vcore up to like 1.47v and see how high I can go.. if it dies, then excuse to upgrade :twisted
