Should I,

a) Look into a A64 system or

b) Look into a 2x00XP Mobile system and overclock the crap out of it?

I'm coming from a 1.4 GHZ T-BIRD, with 1 GIG of PC2100 DDR SDRAM.

Please help me choose and tell me the pros and the cons of each system. I know for a fact that the A64 is the future and that the 2x00 system is getting outdated, or am I wrong?
 
A64's are extremely overprices, barton prices have dropped a lot and the P4 C's and E's are competing in prices so they are down a lot too, but if you have a lot of money to blow, AMD64 3400+ all the way
