What about E39 vs E60? Looks wise parts of the E39 look better to me but overall the E60 is cleaner right?

If you can find a low mileage E39 M5 (and there are plenty out there if you look for them - heck I know of one meself)... Go for it.

The E60 M5 is nice. The V10 is a lotta fun winding up. But I'd still prefer a well maintained E39.
 
I am willing to bet their are 993 turbos with mechanical problems if you asked on Rennlist.

They aren't the bargain most think they are though.

I have looked a at some stuff like that. Keep in mind bargain is relative to me. IF I got a 993 I would probably look for an excuse to do a big bore kit and keep it forever.

I would consider building a ferris bueller style garage just to house it 😛


Gonna drive a E46 M3 today, A different Quattroporte and hopefully this M5

Its literally 3 days outta warranty with only 21k miles. Has Dinan tune as well mid pipes.
Slightly outside of budget but may be worth it.
