Upgrade Suggestions

OK I have one urgent upgrade and a couple I was wondering about.
I need to replace my primary storage hard drive. My current one is making an intermittent clicking noise and I'd like to replace it before it dies completely.

Is there anything specific I should be looking for? I was looking at this one WD Blue 1TB. I have a slight preference for purchasing from Amazon because I have some Amazon credit but I'll go elsewhere for a good deal.

My second question is on my Video Card and/or Power Supply which are my oldest components. I've mostly been playing older or lighter games (Sims Medieval, Plants vs Zombies, etc.) and watching videos. Am I actually going to get any benefit from upgrading those two now or would I be better off waiting?

Case: Antec One
Processor: Intel Core i5-3570 Ivy Bridge
MOBO: ASRock B75 PRO3
SSD : Samsung 840 128 GB
RAM: Samsung 8 GB
OS: Windows 7
DVD Burner: ASUS 24X DVD Burner
Hard Drive 1: Hitachi 1TB
Hard Drive 2: 500 GB WD
Video Card: Sapphire 5770
Power Supply: Antec Earthwats 380
Monitor: DELL UltraSharp U2312HM 23" Monitor

I am not seeing anything, but does a read/write situation stalling out and a loud clicking noise ever mean anything but a failing hard drive?

Ok. You didn't mention the hanging in your OP. WD Blue is fine.

Since you are only playing such lightweight games like Sims then keep the card until it gets too slow. I think that Antec model you have is alright.

Oops. I edited the original post a few times. I didn't notice that I missed that info in the final version. Thanks.

I've been playing mostly console games lately. My cat prefers it. He curls up next to me and purrs when I play PS3 games but if I play computer games he attacks my right arm so I die.

The WD Blue you've picked out is good. Your Earthwatts is also a good unit and will serve you well unless you decide to upgrade the GPU to something higher-end (relatively speaking).

As for the GPU, you could certainly get something much faster for not a ton of money. However, as long as the 5770 is playing the games at a performance level you're happy with, I see no reason to upgrade it.
